What I learned from Ted Talks

It was the year 2016 when I read in a book about something that goes by the name ' Ted Talks'. My curiosity led me to their website and what I found there was something that I describe as a treasure of wisdom to be explored. Enough of what I think, but what is Ted Talk?

Ted (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a media organisation founded in February of 1984 which posts talks online for free distribution, under the slogan "ideas worth spreading". The sapling Foundation is a non-profit organisation that owns the TED global conferences.

Ted shares videos of world-class leaders, top researchers, entrepreneurs,  bestselling authors, and anyone who has an idea that is worth spreading.

Why am I writing about it?

Now I don't have the good fortune to be sponsored by Ted to write about them but I personally think that everyone should be talking full advantage of this freely available resources and nobody should be deprived from such great wisdom.

What difference it made in my life?

I became a follower of Ted Talks ever since I first visited their website. I was exposed to thousands of different talks from successful people. The thing which I learned from those talks were, 1) I needed to change myself. My mindset my soulset everything needs to be realigned if I were to face this contemporary world. Everything that I was tought in school somehow begin to contradict what I saw in the talks. I was in a dellima what to do now? As time passed it became clearer and clearer that what I saw in those talks was what I needed to follow if I were to get somewhere in life. 2) through those talks I got a better insight on how this world worked, I discovered some common habits, tactics and routines in those people which formed the basics of life. I gathered insights and was introduced to new and interesting research. I guess that is pretty much for a curious freak, but the one big important thing is 3) I came to believe that there was still a huge space for new ideas to be welcomed into this world. I learned that new and innovative ideas will be guiding our future and everyone had an equal right to be a part of this future. It made me realise that ideas and people can change the world for good.

What I want you to do?

India being a youthful nation can do a lot to make things right not for just itself but for others also. Young people like you and me have a lot of potential, an un explored warehouse of ideas, unimaginable talent and above all a vision. All these elements will lead all of us to a better and sustainable future and apart from books organisations like Ted are my favourite ones which will help you become what you intend to be and make you 1% better.

To get you started here are some of my favourite Ted Talks which I guess will kindle a fire in you as it had kindled in me.

I would highly recommend you to visit their website: https://www.ted.com
